DIY old cloths into elastic bands

How many times have you just bought an elastic band and within a day it gets lost. Or many a times those elastic bands are just fit for your hair, two loops is too loose but three loops is too tight :(
We all face the same problem, so I have just tried to make bands with my old tops. The top material typically stretches a little making it perfect for elastic bands. The best part it can be customised according to the width of hair. And they are cute too.

To make these bands, cut 5-6 inches long, 2 inches wide strips from your old t-shirts, wrap it around the width of your hair and just tie a simple knot. (Be careful not to tie single hair strands into the knot).
note- you can even make this with any stretchable piece of cloth in place of t-shirts.

P.S.- I tried making a video to illustrate it well but I really don't know why is blogger not supporting my video's :(
