OREO CHEESECAKE

Ingredients :-

For the base :

  • oreo biscuits - 20

  • butter - 3 tbsp (melted)

For the cheesecake :

  • cream cheese - 180 gms

  •  powdered sugar - 180 gms

  • crushed oreo biscuits - 10

For the top layer (ganache) :

  • cream - 100 gms

  • melted chocolate - 75 gms

  • chocolate chips - for decoration

 Method :-

  1.  For the base grind 20 oreo biscuits and the melted butter together. Then press the base in the bottom of the cheesecake tin (here I have used mini glasses) well and put it in the fridge to set for half an hour.

  2. Then in a bowl add the cheesecake and sugar and whip it well using a hand blender or a beater. Once it is whipped well add the crushed oreo biscuits and mix.

  3. Then take out the cheesecake tin or glasses from the fridge and add the cheesecake mixture in it. It is important to give a little tap on the container or the glass so that there are no air bubbles. Let it set in the fridge for 1 hour.

  4. For the ganache heat the cream in a bowl placing it directly on the flame or using a double boiler. When the cream comes to a boil add the chocolate and let it melt naturally. Do not stir till it melts. Finally when the chocolate melts give it a little stir and the ganache is ready.

  5. Take out the cheesecake tin or the glasses and then add the ganache on top it and decorate it with chocolate chips. Let the cheesecake set in the fridge for at least 8 hours as it contains no gelatin so it will take time to set naturally. And it is ready to serve.
